AblePlayTM is a toy rating system that provides comprehensive information on toys for children with special needs. AblePlay was created so parents, special educators, therapists and others can make the best decisions when purchasing products for children in their lives with disabilities.
The Pair game was a big hit and a really well rated toy. Pair game develops memory/concentration skills and visual discrimination in a fun way. Assists with the following skills: recognition of shapes and letters, recognition of objects and naming them, following rules and respecting others, socialization: can be played individually or in a group and also with motor skills (correctly gripping the big plastic pieces).
This abacus incorporates colors and geometric shaped solid blocks (cylinder, ball, ovoid cylinder, square and triangle) – 15 pieces. This toy supports both physical and intellectual development; such as improved attention and logical reasoning. The solid blocks help to improve dexterity. Also included are 24 pattern activity cards.
Perfect for small hands, these large pegs are easy to handle and affix to the pegboards. 4 assorted shapes come in 4 primary colors. Provides lots of fun matching the pegs to the patterns. The Super Pegs encourage creativity while building motor, visual discrimination and cognitive skills.
AblePlay has designed an easy to understand rating system that focuses on the developmental areas of cognitive, sensory, communication, physical and social/emotional abilities of a child.
